01What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners.

Cookies can be:

Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close your browser
Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them

We also use browser localStorage — similar to cookies but stored differently, only readable by karmaalab.com, and never transmitted to our servers in HTTP headers.

We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. If we introduce them in future, this table will be updated and you will be asked for fresh consent via the banner.

03Cookie categories

Strictly Necessary — These cookies and storage items are essential for the website to function. They cannot be disabled and do not require consent. They are set purely to serve you.

Functional — These enable enhanced features such as our live chat support widget (Chatwoot) and form draft saving. If you decline functional cookies, the chat widget will not load and form drafts will not be saved, but all other features continue to work normally.

Analytics (not currently active) — If we activate analytics in future, we will add cookies here and request your consent before any analytics cookies are set.

Marketing (not currently active) — We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If we do in future, your explicit consent will be required before activation.

Reset preferences — clear localStorage for karmaalab.com in your browser’s developer tools. The banner will reappear on your next visit.
Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their privacy or security settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage may impair site functionality.

06Your rights

Under India’s DPDP Act 2023 and the EU GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, and erase personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time.
